The tools necessary to learn can include the will to learn, willingness to try and try again,also there should be a reward or a means to success after learning. Some people think that if they try to put effort into learning that they will not see a reward or a success from learning. Gee also described how some people as though it is easier to not try and put no effort in than the shouldn’t even begin to try. Some other people might have all of the tools to learn but see society as being disabling even if they try. Gee also described some people maynot get a job after all of the processes of learning.
when people learn they have to have something to look forward too… I am sure that before we had rewards it was fine to just learn something to learn something because that was the reward TO LEARN SOMETHING, but people now need some actual thing that shows that they did good, it might be something as simple as a sicker on the top of your paper saying that you did a good job.. it might be a piece of candy that you will never see again because you ate it but it is still in your mind that you got something for your good behavior, or good test score. Also people need to have some sense that they actually want to do the thing that they are learning, they they have the sense of urgency to do it, they are doing it for themselves not doing it because people are telling them to do it. For example, one of my friends graduated from high school in 2007, she has already been to four colleges. Why because her parents keep telling her that she has to go she has to do this she has to do that, and she continues to flip out and leave the school. Personally I think that she just needs to live her life, she will make the right decision when she is ready. I waited two and a half years to go to college. I think that it was a very good thing for me.
Like reubenrs said, the tools necessary to learn can include the will to learn, willingness to try and try again,also there should be a reward or a means to success after learning. These are all fundamental ideas that everyone should try to follow.
The reason that I think people struggle with this is because some people are not willing to put forth the effort that it takes to succeed. Some people are willing to put some effort, but they will not succeed to the best of their abilities. Others on the other hand will not even get that far because they don’t put forth any effort.
I think that most people have the will to learn, it is just much easier for certain people to learn. I think that this must be considered when trying to teach a student.
